Happy Burns Day

robert-burns2And it’s been a fairly good one apart from the hangover (photos of fancy dress tomfoolery to follow later this week) with a promising couple viewing the flat, me getting £600 and a good Muay Thai session. OK, so my bike got a puncture and I had to walk it back from Leith but that was a mere hiccup. To crown it all Gaz just cooked up a storm – neeps, butternut squash and potato mash, carrots and some delectable haggis truffles (haggis balls wrapped in beef and coated in breadcrumbs, think a Burns-based Scotch egg…). All the veg was locally grown, organic and damn tasty, even though I’m not a big fan of the organic fad. So I hope everyone has a good one, and in case you haven’t read any Burns today here’s a link to Tam O’ Shanter because it’s the awesomest poem in all awesomosity.
